Our Story

The rBAR system concept began with a group of friends in Nashville, TN who had grown frustrated with the long drink lines at bars and events. Over time, this frustration morphed into an interesting thought exercise… “Why does it have to be this way? Why has nobody solved this problem yet?”

Nobody is having the best experience with the way things have been done. Patrons are getting a “meh” drink service experience, servers are serving fewer drinks & making less in tips… and venues are missing out on sales and profits from unsatisfied demand. Not to mention the costly spills, overpours and inconsistent drinks that frequently happen when bartenders feel hurried.

Being entrepreneurs and business owners, we began to engage with some of the brightest minds in the beverage and event planning industries to see if this was a problem worth solving. The resounding answer was YES, and that the best available options – namely drink dispensing systems – have shortcomings that can’t be ignored and limit their effectiveness.

Turns out, they were okay at MAKING simple drink orders … but not TAKING the drink orders, which is a big part of the bottleneck. Plus, drink dispensers can’t provide a complete bar service – shaken drinks, frozen drinks and cream-based drinks still had to be made at the bar.  And for a lot of venues, the SIGNIFICANT up-front investment in the hardware was a showstopper due to the long payback period and ROI.

So, the rBAR team … with over seven decades of combined experience in business ownership and system creation … set about developing and launching a solution combining customized drink stations that work seamlessly with our ordering and fulfillment software to provide a uniquely elevated drink experience for customers. Faster service with higher revenue & profit for venues, better guest experience, and all without the big upfront investment.
