One of our event planners, Tracie Hitz, knows what is going on in Nashville. Like, really knows. She’s so on top of it that her Hitz List presented by rBAR is a weekly segment on Devon O’Day’s Main Street Today podcast. Devon is a hit songwriter, including co-writing George Strait’s number one song, “The Big One”, so she knows all the tips and tricks for seeing a show at The Bluebird Cafe. She not only goes to support her friends, she also performs there, so we’ve combined forces to provide Tips for Seeing a Show at The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville.

Buy Any Ticket: Duh. What we mean is, it doesn’t matter who is playing, it will be an amazing show so don’t waste time trying to figure out who to see. Just pick a date and time that works for you.

Buy Early: The Bluebird only seats 75 people, so the tickets are extremely limited. The show lineups are posted approximately six weeks in advance, so you need to be tracking on the show announcements.

Snag Gallery Seats: The Bluebird does hold back a few seats in the gallery that are available for walk-up purchases, but you will need to get in line at lest 90 minutes before the show for a chance at those seats.

Listen: When attending a songwriters round, the audience is expected to listen. Like really listen. With only 75 seats at The Bluebird, this rule is even more important.

Gather in Advance: If you’re visiting Nashville with friends and/or family you haven’t seen in a while, meet up with them before you head to The Bluebird so you will be ready to enjoy the songs like the locals do. Heck, we can even deliver drinks to your short term vacation rental so you can catch up with everyone before you head out in Music City.
